DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

SMOKE: Southeastern Manitoba/Ontario/Upper Midwest... Despite the large wildfires throughout central Canada and Upper Midwest, heavy cloud cover over the region obscured a thorough analysis. Brief snippets of light density smoke within the heavy cloud cover. was observed over southern Manitoba and Ontario along with a large patch extending over Ontario and Quebec . AEROSOL/SMOKE: Mexico/Pacific Ocean/Gulf of America... An area of light density smoke and aerosols attributed to widespread seasonal fire activity, volcanic emissions, and industrial sources throughout Western, Southern, and Central Mexico was observed today along both coasts of Mexico into the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of America. DUST: Southeastern United States... A significant area of blowing dust, observed from earlier analysis originating from New Mexico, continued to progress eastward throughout the southern United States, with the dust reaching Georgia and the Carolinas. Nguyen THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE, TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
